September 6 – 9 in Las Vegas, Nevada (USA) AOPA (American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association) held Centennial Celebration and World Congress with over 2500 attendees from over 40 countries making it a truly global event.

Ortho Baltic recently had intern Mariska Blankenstijn from the Fontys University of Applied Sciences, the Netherlands, who spent here four weeks. `I came here in the third year of my studies of orthopaedic technology. Ortho Baltic, as it is an all-round company, made a good impression on me. Next to orthopaedic shoes this company makes orthoses; the combination of orthoses in orthopaedic shoes is also one of the possibilities`.

On 16th of April European Commission and “Ortho Baltic” have signed Grant Agreement euro grant for implementation of project INOVER 21.

EXPOLIFE, the International Trade Fair for specialist stores providing medical supplies, rehabilitation, orthopaedic technology and orthopaedic shoe technology will be held on Kassel fairgrounds every second year. The trade fair is one of the most important appointments for all employees in the health trade.

Water printing for pre-preg carbon fibre orthoses

Now we have a possibility to decorate carbon fibre orthoses in different colours and patterns. This option could be particularly interesting when producing orthosis for children. The range includes such patterns as woodgrain, camouflage, geometric shapes, etc.

Ortho Baltic has expanded its pre-preg carbon product range by offering a custom-made protective mask for athletes, so they could get back to sports safely after facial injury or surgery. Carbon fibre mask is made to an exact scan of the face and fit around the unique contours of each person. Therefore the product supports a fractured cheek, jaw, eyebrow or nose in most effective way.
